Will You Believe Me for an Audi?

Will You Believe Me for an Audi?

Jasmine Fidow-Maiava

My 1997 Honda Logo still had plenty of go but alas, I was spending too much money trying to keep the rust at bay. I talk a lot to Dad (God) about what kind of car I could get.

It was on one of our drives home from Wellington, lost in thought, I heard the Holy Spirit ask,

“Will you believe me for an Audi?”

I looked around and noticed our truck was surrounded by Audi’s on the motorway.

My immediate reply was “I can believe you but I can’t believe me.”

I know God can do anything. I had trouble believing that I could own an Audi.

23 I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will]. 24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.

Mark 11: 23-24 (AMP)

In this scripture Jesus says if we believe that what we ask for is in line with God’s will and have confidence that it will happen, then it will happen. When we ask in prayer and believe in our hearts, we will receive what we believe.

So why pray for it if we already know in our hearts that it’s a done deal?

Before God created the world, He had a plan. He knew what it would look like it. He had a purpose for it and for all of creation within it. He saw it all before He spoke it into being.

I believe prayer is speaking into being, that which we know God has provided for us. We can see it in our hearts because we believe God for it, so we ask for it. We declare it with our mouths so we can then receive it.

Jesus says if we tell a mountain to jump into the sea, and we believe, in our heart, that it is God’s will, then we can tell it to take a running jump and listen for the splash.

God is a good father, always communicating His best for us, to us. When He shows us that it is His will for the mountain to jump into the sea, He will reveal it by His Spirit – He will cause us to see.

When we see what He has already done for us, we can ask and believe wholeheartedly that it is a done deal! Hence, receive!

So if you know that you can make a mountain jump into the sea, is that mountain, situation, sickness, sadness, loneliness… still an obstacle for you?

The mountain is no longer an obstacle, whether it jumps into the sea or not. Just knowing that through faith in Christ, we have power over that mountain, takes the power from the mountain.

Answered prayers are a measure of God’s infinite goodness and the state of the heart from which they are made. Answered prayers are made from a believing heart. Hearts that are anxious, afraid and unbelieving, will struggle to see God’s goodness for their situation. Stop looking at the mountain and look at God until you see His goodness. Until you believe His good. Until you can declare, pray and ask for His goodness. Until you can receive His goodness.

When we pray, we are not asking for things we don’t know are for us. We are not asking for things we cannot see. We are asking for things that we are certain of. Things that we hope for. We are asking for that which has been revealed to us by the Spirit.

Believe God with all your heart and all His heart will be made manifest for you.

Will I believe you for an Audi God?

I believe you are good. I will believe that you want good things for me. I believe that you love me.  I can see the goodness that you will for me and ask for that to be demonstrated in my life. By the way Dad, an Audi will be so GOOOOOD!

What are you asking God for?

Is it His will for you?

Do you believe He has prepared it for you?

 Can you see it?

What would you like me to pray for, for you?
