Mark 6: 30 - The apostles [who had been sent out on a mission] gathered together with Jesus and told Him everything that they had done and taught.
Luke 9:10 - The apostles came back and told Jesus everything they had done.
Throughout the new testament we find every time the apostles went out, doing the works of Jesus, they would return and report all they had seen and done.
Reporting back or testifying is providing an account of both what we have seen and what we have done. Seeing and doing puts us at the frontline of Kingdom business. It keeps us engaged with the prophetic promises and purposes of God for us, through us and for the world around us.
A testimony is not just a feel good story of provision or healing or revelation. It is a description of the power of God being demonstrated, through us and around us, here on earth.
It takes courageous faith to go to a place and allow God to move through us. His Kingdom is one of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. This means we will be sent to places of sin, turmoil and grief.
We must respond to being sent by going.
When we go, we must respond by doing that which only He can do.
Maybe one of the great accounts of supernatural breakthrough is your stepping out in faith against all fear and achieving something that seemed impossible to you.
When you step out and go, then you will see.
When you see, then you will find courage to do.
When you do, then you will return filled with victorious joy to tell of all God has done through you and in turn encourage others to go, do and eventually become.
A testimony is an account of people, like you and I, rising up to go, pushing through to see and stepping in to do. This movement creates ripples of faith, turning into waves of revival, becoming tsunami’s of supernatural love – transforming the human heart – creating a new horizon of hope and salvation for all who will believe because of your life becoming an account of our Saviour.
Let’s keep going. Let’s keep doing. Let’s keep “becoming” – and tell everyone what we have seen and done so they may know the one Living God is still ALIVE!
